Membership Levels
We welcome donations of all sizes, but we offer membership benefits at various donation levels. All financial contributions are considered donations to The Friends of TCPL, and are 100% tax deductible.

Vote At Annual Meeting
Come participate in the process that defines The Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library and vote for changes you want to see at our annual meeting.
Members-Only Pre-Sales
Members at the Collector or Literati levels will be eligible to attend the Member-Only Pre-Sales in the Spring and Fall of their membership year. These memberships cannot be shared. Scanning and photographing of the shelves are not permitted at the Member-Only Pre-Sale. Please email membership questions to foltcplmembership@gmail.com
TCPL Bookplate
Show off your enthusiasm for all things books and your support for The Friends and everything we do with a unique, custom bookplate.
All memberships are for the calendar year and expire on December 31. We start accepting new memberships and renewals for each coming year in October, after the beginning of the Fall Sale.
Another path to membership is volunteering at the Book Sale. Those volunteers who have worked 30 hours or more before the Spring or Fall book sale become members eligible to vote at the annual meetings and can attend a Volunteer Pre-Sale before each sale.
Join online and pay your dues by PayPal or credit card. You can also print out a membership form (see below) and mail it with your check or credit card information to Friends of TCPL, 509 Esty Street, Ithaca NY 14850. NOTE: Your membership will not take effect until we have received your check or online payment.

You may include an additional donation with your membership, on top of your membership dues. The Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library is a 501 (C) 3 nonprofit organization. Memberships and other gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
